Venter Pharma
Venter Pharma is a Madrid-based biotech company that develops diagnostic drugs and analysis methods for digestive disorders, with a focus on high-prevalence conditions such as lactose intolerance and inflammatory bowel conditions. Founded in 2003 as Lactest SL, it is a spin-off built on research from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the CSIC; its lead product is LacTEST® (gaxilose), a non-invasive diagnostic drug for lactose malabsorption, alongside the Xylossay and Osaxyl analysis methods. It has raised roughly $13M, including a €6.2M capital increase over 2021–2023 backed by CDTI's INNVIERTE programme and Cross Road Biotech.
