DC Wafers

DC Wafers (also styled DCWafers) was a Spanish company founded in 2005 near León, Spain, to manufacture polycrystalline/multicrystalline silicon wafers for the photovoltaic solar industry — the first company of its kind in Spain. It began production in 2008-2009 with an initial capacity of 13-20 million wafers per year, but the venture failed: the Valdelafuente plant was paralyzed, entered insolvency proceedings, and was later liquidated with no buyers found.
