SimpleCloud is a Madrid-based cloud workspace-as-a-service platform (legal entity SummuS Render, S.L.) that delivers GPU-accelerated virtual desktops and workstations accessible from any device, in pure-cloud or hybrid setups. It started in 2008 as SummuS Render, one of Spain's leading 3D render farms for animation and VFX (credits include Tad the Explorer and Underdogs), and launched the SimpleCloud virtualization platform in 2016; today it serves higher education, architecture/engineering/construction, media & entertainment, advertising and gaming, running largely on IBM Cloud infrastructure. Seed-stage and backed by CDTI plus several Spanish VCs.
