Iden Biotechnology S.L. was a Spanish agri-biotech company founded in 2005 in Cordovilla (Pamplona), Navarra, as a spin-off connected to the Institute of Agrobiotechnology (IdAB), a joint CSIC / Public University of Navarra / Government of Navarra centre. It worked on two lines: identifying plant genes with agronomic value (yield, quality, abiotic-stress tolerance in corn, wheat and potato) and developing biological crop inputs — biostimulants and biopesticides — backed by a portfolio of ~9 patent families, with partnerships including J.R. Simplot (US) and INMET (Argentina). The company is no longer active: insolvency proceedings at Pamplona Commercial Court No. 1 concluded in January 2024 and its extinction was filed in April 2024.
