GGoal Systems
Goal Systems is a Madrid-based software company that builds AI- and optimisation-driven planning, scheduling, rostering and real-time operations software for passenger transport operators (bus, metro, rail, tram and ferry), sold as the GoalBus, GoalMetro and GoalRail product lines. Founded in 1992, it is a mature, profitable scale-up rather than an early-stage startup: it claims 150+ implementations across more than 25 countries with clients including Renfe, RATP, SNCB, ÖBB, Alsa and Transmilenio, and has offices in Madrid, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá, Mexico City and Santiago de Chile. In October 2019 Three Hills Capital Partners took a stake via a ~€45M growth-capital deal to fund international expansion and a buy-and-build M&A strategy; leadership has since passed to professional CEOs (Javier Colado, later Mario García) while co-founder Francisco Javier Mira remains owner and President.
