Contenur designs, manufactures, and services urban waste collection containers, litter bins, underground waste systems, and public-space/playground equipment, headquartered in Getafe (Madrid). Founded in 1984, it is Spain's largest and Europe's third-largest manufacturer in its category, operating four factories (Spain, Poland, UK, Brazil) and selling in over 50 countries. It is a mature industrial manufacturer rather than an early-stage VC-backed startup, and is currently owned by Spanish private-equity fund Nexxus Iberia (acquired from ACON Investments in July 2024).
