Alerion develops autonomous drone-based inspection solutions for industrial assets, covering the full workflow from field data acquisition to AI-powered analysis and reporting. It focuses on wind turbine blade inspections, oil & gas facilities, and other critical infrastructure, and has built a patented laser navigation system plus the world's first ATEX-certified drone for explosive atmospheres. Founded in Munich in 2014 (incubated at the ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria), it is now headquartered and does its main R&D in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain, reporting 80% annual growth since 2021.
