DDexma
Dexma is a Barcelona-based provider of cloud energy management and energy intelligence software (the DEXMA/DEXCell platform), using AI and analytics to help commercial and industrial buildings, ESCOs and utilities monitor, benchmark and reduce energy consumption. Founded in 2007 by computer engineers from the Barcelona School of Informatics (UPC), it raised a modest amount of venture funding (~$1.3M reported across several rounds, including Inveready Venture Finance II in 2017) and serves 10,000+ organisations in 35+ countries. Dexma is no longer an independent startup — it was acquired 100% by Spacewell (a Nemetschek Group company) in December 2020 and now operates as Spacewell Energy (Dexma); Barcelona remains the group's global hub for energy management.
