SEWDEF is a Barcelona-based SaaS platform that uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to turn CCTV sewer inspection footage into automated defect detection and condition-assessment reports compliant with international standards (EN 13508, PACP, etc.). It is the flagship product of INLOC Robotics, S.L., founded in 2014 to build robotics/AI/IoT solutions for the water and wastewater sector, and the company has since rebranded around the SEWDEF name. It is a small seed-stage team (~2-10 people) whose customers include Canal de Isabel II, Aigües de Manresa, FCC/Aqualia and Acciona, with its technology also integrated into the Xylem Vue and Baseform platforms.
