Digimet develops and patents a plasma-heated metallurgical furnace technology to recover high-value metals from industrial waste and by-products, such as steel mill dust and complex metallurgical residues. Founded in 2013 as a deeptech spin-off of research center Tecnalia in partnership with investment firm Kereon Partners, it is headquartered in the Basque Country (Irun, Gipuzkoa).
