Nautal
Nautal is a Barcelona-based online marketplace for boat rentals, connecting travellers directly with boat owners and professional charter companies across yachts, sailboats, motorboats and catamarans, primarily in Spain, France, Italy and the wider Mediterranean. Founded in 2013 by four sailing enthusiasts and often described as the "Airbnb for boats", it raised roughly €4M from Spanish and European VCs before being acquired by French competitor Click&Boat in July 2020. It is no longer an independent startup and now operates as one of Click&Boat Group's brands, the group itself having been backed by Permira from 2021.
