Urven Solutions is a Catalan manufacturer of modular photovoltaic canopies (solar carports) for parking areas, offering configurable series for standard cars, foundation-free installs and large vehicles, with waterproof roofing and integrated EV-charger options. It is an industrial SME rather than a VC-backed startup: the legal entity was incorporated in 2005 as Aplicaciones Placas Solares SL and renamed Urven Solutions in January 2020, and in March 2024 Ondoan S.Coop (part of the MONDRAGON corporation) acquired a majority stake alongside Grupo Aquacenter, with founders Antonio Moreno and Josep Carreras retaining a shareholding. It is headquartered in Castellar del Vallès (Barcelona) and has taken no venture capital funding.
