Socialpoint is a Barcelona-based mobile game developer and publisher best known for free-to-play titles including Dragon City, Monster Legends, Two Dots and Word Life, played by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Founded in 2008, it raised roughly $45M from VC investors (Nauta Capital, Greylock IL, Idinvest, BBVA Ventures, Highland Europe) before being acquired by Take-Two Interactive in February 2017 for about $250M; it now operates as part of the Take-Two/Zynga group. It is a corporate-owned studio rather than an independent VC-backed startup today.
