SScanLotería
ScanLotería is a Spanish consumer mobile app and website for playing state lotteries: users scan physical tickets with the phone camera to store and auto-check them, get draw notifications, and buy 100% digital bets for Euromillones, La Primitiva, Bonoloto, El Gordo and Lotería Nacional, including shared syndicates ('peñas'). It grew out of Alfonso Mérida's university final-year project at UCLM, won the Startup Competition at e-Show Madrid 2014 and entered the Conector Games Madrid accelerator (backed by Grupo Recreativos Franco), later being co-founded with serial entrepreneur Carlos Blanco and associated with his Nuclio Venture Builder. It never raised a disclosed institutional round (only angel/venture-builder money, e.g. €50k from Carlos Blanco in 2016), and the site today is operated by Betting Interactive Games SL registered in La Puebla de Montalbán (Toledo) via the Lotería Castillo licensed outlet, so it is a small operating lottery business rather than an active VC-backed startup.
