TrabajoPróximo is a Barcelona-born mobile app (iOS/Android) for geolocated job search: candidates find and apply to vacancies near their home and send their CV in real time from their phone, while companies post offers on a map and can sync their existing job portals. It launched in early 2015 out of the SiliconBarri digital incubator, focused on high-volume roles in customer service, tourism, hospitality and retail for 18-40 year-olds where commuting cost matters, and expanded from Barcelona and Madrid to the Basque Country, Andalusia, Valencia, Murcia, Galicia and the islands within months. The associated Barcelona entity Silicon Barri SL had its NIF revoked in November 2024.
