EMI (Entorno de Medición Inteligente) designs and manufactures remote-reading (telegestión) hardware and software for heating, hot water, and cold water sub-metering, municipal water meters, and irrigation control, mainly serving property administrators and municipalities in Spain. Founded in 2017 and based in Logroño (La Rioja), it raised a seed round from regional investor Ricari before being acquired in November 2022 by Elliot Cloud, which folded EMI's ~6-7 employees into its team while keeping the EMI brand — so it no longer operates as an independent, fundraising startup.
