TThe Real Green Food
The Real Green Food (formerly Grupo Riberebro, rebranded in 2021) is a Spanish plant-based food manufacturer producing canned and fresh vegetables, legumes, mushrooms, prepared dishes and tomato sauces for retail and private label, under the brands Gvtarra, JA'E, Ayecue/The Real Champion and Viter. It runs around eight production plants and ~470 hectares of cultivation across Navarra, La Rioja and Castilla-La Mancha, employs roughly 750-900 people and sells in 20-60 countries, with revenue around €90-105M. It is not a VC-backed startup but an established family/owner-controlled agri-food group headquartered in Villafranca, Navarra; CEO Eduardo Lopez Milagro bought CaixaBank's ~60% stake in January 2020 and Navarra's public investment company Sodena took 24.9% via a €4M injection.
