TTvitec Float Glass
Tvitec Float Glass is the industrial vehicle of Spain's Tvitec (Tvitec System Glass) group, created to build the country's first new large float glass furnace in Cubillos del Sil, El Bierzo (León). The parent group, founded in 2007 by Javier Prado Ovalle, is one of Europe's largest architectural glass processors — insulating, safety, curved and digitally printed glass up to 12 metres — with roughly 500-600 employees, ~€200M turnover and projects in over 50 countries; it acquired curved-glass specialist Cricursa in 2022. In March 2026 the Spanish government's FAIIP fund, managed by state holding SEPIDES, unblocked up to €120M of debt financing for the ~€185M furnace project (850 t/day, construction from 2027, operational ~2029, ~250 direct jobs). It is a family-owned industrial manufacturer rather than a venture-backed startup.
