Plymouth Rubber Group (legal entity Plymouth Rubber Europa, S.A.U.) is a Spanish industrial manufacturer of adhesive tapes and electrical insulation solutions, with its headquarters, factory and laboratories in O Porriño (Pontevedra) and a sales office in Boston. Its portfolio includes vinyl electrical tapes, splicing and insulating products, sealing mastics and specialty tapes (PLYJACK, PLWRAP, PLYTACK) sold in more than 75 countries to utility, C&I, mining, OEM/industrial and telecom customers. It is not a venture-backed startup: the Spanish business dates to 1996, carrying the heritage of the US Plymouth Rubber Company founded in 1896, whose assets it took over after the American firm's 2007 bankruptcy. It employs roughly 60-200 people, and in March 2024 Bilbao-based Talde Private Equity acquired a majority stake alongside the continuing management team.
