Sanitas Ventures is the corporate innovation and venture-building unit of Sanitas (part of Bupa) in Spain, launched in 2023 and based in Madrid. Rather than a traditional check-writing VC fund, it builds new healthcare businesses from scratch (Venture Building), runs pilot programs with external startups (Open Innovation), and incubates internal employee-led ventures (Intrapreneurship), all focused on healthcare and wellness. Since launch it has run around 22 startup pilots and multiple internal venture-building and intrapreneurship projects.
