SSamara
Besana (formerly Samara, the brand still live at samara.energy) is a Madrid-based energytech startup founded in 2022 by Iván Cabezuela (ex-Country Manager of Bulb Spain, ex-Amazon/Uber) and Manel Pujol (ex-Country Manager of Uber Eats and Alan Spain), originally selling residential solar, batteries, EV chargers and heat pumps with an online 3D system-design tool. In October 2025 it sold its single-family self-consumption unit to Catalan rival Solfy (taking equity in Solfy's round in exchange) and refocused exclusively on end-to-end energy services for Spanish homeowner communities (comunidades de propietarios), where it now claims 1,500+ communities managed. It raised a €2M pre-seed (2022), a €4.5M seed (2022) and a Series A that started at €9M in mid-2024 and was extended to €10.5M in September 2024.
