Flobers is a Madrid-based participatory financing platform, authorised by the CNMV (registry no. 22), where retail investors can put money into renewable energy and sustainability projects. Investors can back solar photovoltaic, biomass and water-management projects in Spain through crowdfunding (equity) or crowdlending (debt), with tickets starting at €500. The platform earns its revenue by financing project developers and uses Lemonway for payments. It was conceived in 2019 and incorporated in February 2022. In April 2022 it closed a first seed round of about €500,000 from private partners and business angels with backgrounds in finance, investment banking and renewable energy.
