Recover is a materials science company that produces recycled cotton fiber and cotton fiber blends at industrial scale. It uses a mechanical textile-to-textile recycling process to turn post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste into fibers, blends (via its FiberSync technology), finished fabrics and ready-to-wear blanks, and supplies them to spinners and fashion brands such as H&M Group, Wrangler, Tommy Hilfiger, G-Star Raw, The North Face and Inditex. The company has its roots in the Ferré family's textile business, founded in 1947 in Banyeres de Mariola (Alicante), and was spun off from Ferre Yarns in 2020. It is headquartered in Madrid, runs an innovation centre in Banyeres de Mariola and has production in Bangladesh, Vietnam and Pakistan. STORY3 Capital Partners acquired a controlling stake in 2020, and in 2022 a $100 million growth investment led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management valued the company at about $1 billion; Eldridge Industries and Hardy Capital Partners are also investors.
