Bechester, formerly known as Rentchester, is a Valladolid-based proptech company that furnishes homes, offices, residential rental buildings and coliving assets. It started with a furniture-as-a-service subscription model and grew into a furniture, appliance and décor marketplace offering rental, new and second-hand sales, with IKEA and Testa Home among its partners. It was founded at the end of 2019, operates in Spain, France and Portugal, and has offices in Madrid and Paris; it passed €1.5 million in revenue in 2022 and has completed more than 3,500 projects covering over 10,000 furnished rooms. Its €750,000 seed round in March 2021 was led by Faraday Venture Partners, and an extension of about €1.5 million in 2022 brought in angels including Hugo Arévalo (ThePowerMBA), Felipe Navío (jobandtalent) and Iñigo Juantegui (Ontruck).
