Restore Coral
Restore Coral is a coral reef restoration initiative that began in Barcelona in 2013 under the 2050Life program, tackling the ocean crisis through a mix of social innovation, community participation and emerging technology (VR/AR immersive experiences, coral nurseries and a research lab). Its operational base is now Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico, where it runs reef restoration, coral adoption/volunteering programs and education projects such as Korallysis, focused on UN SDG 14 (Life Below Water). It is a Mexico-based non-profit/social-impact project.
