EOS-X Space is a Madrid-based aerospace company building a crewed space-tourism service. Passengers ride in a pressurised capsule lifted to the stratosphere by a helium balloon. The company was founded in 2020 and has announced flight operations from Spain and Abu Dhabi. In July 2025 it bought the US balloon-tourism company Space Perspective, which gave it a presence in Florida, including a spaceport and an R&D and assembly site. In May 2026 EOS-X Space announced a Series D round of about $140 million (€120 million), presented at the New York Stock Exchange as groundwork for a planned listing.

Sells seats on crewed private spaceflights to individuals and to governments wanting astronauts, the same premium crewed-flight-ticket model as EOS-X, though it flies to orbit and the ISS rather than to the stratosphere.

Virgin Galactic
Sells high-priced tickets to the edge of space to wealthy tourists and flies them from its own spaceport, like EOS-X; it also had Abu Dhabi backing and a flight-rights deal there, and was listed by SPAC (the figure is Aabar's pre-listing equity, $280M plus $110M).

World View

Builds stratospheric balloon systems and has sold seats on a pressurised Explorer capsule for space-tourism flights to the stratosphere, though most of its income comes from uncrewed stratospheric remote-sensing flights.

Zephalto
Sells luxury flights to about 25 km in a pressurised capsule under a stratospheric balloon, almost exactly EOS-X's business model.

HALO Space
Plans to sell passenger seats on a pressurised capsule lifted to the stratosphere by a balloon, with a planned operating base in Saudi Arabia, which mirrors EOS-X's balloon space-tourism model and Gulf expansion.
