Rimbo

Rimbo (legal entity Rimbo Rent Solutions SL) was a Barcelona-based proptech/fintech that let tenants rent apartments without paying a cash deposit, replacing it with a guarantee product that covered landlords for up to ~150% of the deposit value and used open-banking data to check tenant solvency in about five minutes. Founded in 2019 and launched commercially in 2020, it raised roughly $900K from Spanish business angels (including Javier Sanchez-Marco in 2021), stayed at around 7 employees, and won the 'most innovative startup' award at BNEW 2020 in Barcelona. The company is defunct, with RIMBO RENT SOLUTIONS SL registered as 'inactiva'/'extinguida'.
