Quimunsa (Química de Munguía, S.A.) is a Spanish manufacturer of biocides and environmental-health products — insecticides, rodenticides, disinfectants, repellents and wood protectors — for professional pest control, livestock/animal hygiene, consumer and industrial wood-treatment markets. Founded in 1962 near Bilbao and based in Mungia (Bizkaia), it operates an 11,000 m² industrial site with an in-house R&D department, 500+ product references and 200+ official regulatory approvals, and is one of the leading players in the Spanish pest-control market. It is a 60-year-old family-origin industrial chemicals company rather than a startup, acquired in a September 2021 buyout by private-equity firm ABE Capital Partners, with roughly 50 employees and no venture funding.
