SSermes CRO
Sermes CRO is a Madrid-based full-service contract research organization (CRO) that manages clinical trials end-to-end for pharma, biotech and independent research institutions, covering CTIS/EU regulatory work, advanced therapies, biostatistics and data management, pharmacovigilance, monitoring, medical writing, eTMF (its own Tmfy platform), patient recruitment and AI/advanced analytics. The business started in 1997 as a special employment centre doing clinical data entry and launched the Sermes CRO entity in 2001; it now has 250+ employees, operations across Europe, the US and Latin America, ISO 9001/27001 certification, and offices in Madrid (C/ Rufino González 14) and Barcelona. In February 2026 ABE Capital Partners and Columbus Venture Partners acquired a majority stake from prior owner PSN (Previsión Sanitaria Nacional) to accelerate international expansion — this is a private-equity/growth buyout rather than a venture round.
