SSitum
Situm is a Spanish deep-tech company that builds an indoor positioning, wayfinding and tracking platform, using sensor fusion of magnetic field, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and smartphone inertial sensors to locate people and assets inside buildings with minimal extra hardware. A spin-off of the University of Santiago de Compostela's CiTIUS robotics research, it sells B2B products (SWIM interactive maps/navigation and geolocation-based staff and asset tracking) to retail, hospitals, airports, security, facility management and events customers, claiming deployments in 6,000+ buildings across 70+ countries. It raised a €3M round in October 2019 led by Swanlaab Venture Factory and Prosegur Tech Ventures (~$3.3M total raised). It is headquartered in Santiago de Compostela.
