Murtra Nonwovens
Murtra Nonwovens is the nonwovens division of the Spanish family-owned textile group Industrias Murtra, manufacturing technical spunlace, chemical-bonded and laminated nonwoven fabrics (roughly 20-120 g/m2) for the automotive, medical, hygiene, filtration, construction, agriculture and cosmetics markets. It operates two production sites: Tefisa (Telas y Fabricados No Tejidos, S.A.) in Piera, Barcelona, Spain, and IMS Nonwoven AB in Ystad, Sweden. It is an established industrial manufacturer: Tefisa dates to the mid-1980s and was acquired by Industrias Murtra in 2003, which added Fiberduk/IMS in 2008.
