NanoBioMatters (NanoBioMatters Industries, S.L.) is a Spanish materials-science company based in Paterna, Valencia, that develops engineered clay-based functional additives and masterbatches for plastics — notably BactiBlock (silver-functionalised clay antimicrobial) and O2Block (oxygen-scavenging additive for food and pharma packaging in LDPE, HDPE, PP, PET and PLA). Spun out of CSIC research in 2004, it scaled to roughly 2,500 t/year of additive and 4,000 t/year of masterbatch capacity and opened a North American arm in Marlborough, Massachusetts, partnering with players such as Nippon Gohsei.
