Worktoday is a Madrid-based mobile recruitment platform for short-term, hourly and day work ("extrajobs"), letting service-sector businesses post an offer in a few clicks and match with nearby available workers in about five minutes, without CVs, interviews or a traditional temp agency (ETT) in the middle. It targets hospitality, retail, events, logistics, construction and leisure, uses geolocation-based matching and two-way ratings, and claimed tens of thousands of registered workers and thousands of companies. It was backed by public financing body ENISA and a €300K equity crowdfunding round on Startupxplore, and passed through IE's Area31, the ESIC incubator, Microsoft's high-potential entrepreneur programme, FIWARE Impact Accelerator and Startup Alcobendas.
