SSilbö Telecom
Silbö Telecom was a Spanish virtual mobile operator (OMV) and converged telecom provider offering mobile, fibre, landline and TV services to residential and SME customers, founded in Madrid in 2023 by a group of ex-Finetwork telecom executives and launched commercially in March 2024. It was funded with roughly €20M committed by eleven Spanish private investors, family offices and patrimonial vehicles rather than by any venture capital fund, and became a high-profile sponsor of the Spanish national football teams while leading net mobile portability in its first months. The company collapsed after mounting supplier non-payments: the CNMC authorised its wholesale providers (Suma/Orange and Aire Networks) to disconnect its lines, with fibre cut off on 4 May 2026, so it is effectively defunct.
