HeyPlease
HeyPlease was a Madrid-based fintech that built a mobile app and API for paying the bill at geolocated bars and restaurants, effectively a card-linked mobile wallet for hospitality. Founded in 2013, it raised a small seed round (~$134K) from Civeta Investment and BStartup (Banco Sabadell) and was named best startup by Banco Sabadell (2014) and Mahou San Miguel (2016). It is no longer an independent startup: it was acquired in December 2017 by Up SPAIN (Up Coop, owner of the Cheque Gourmet brand) and rebranded as 'Up GourmetPay'.
