SSyngoi Technologies
Syngoi Technologies is a Basque biotech CDMO founded in 2021 that manufactures synthetic, cell-free enzymatically produced DNA (linear covalently closed oDNA) for advanced therapies — gene therapy, cell therapy and mRNA vaccines — cutting delivery times from months to about two weeks. Backed and originally built by Columbus Venture Partners, it raised a Series B in 2024 (Columbus, Buenavista Equity Partners, Asahi Kasei Medical) to scale to kilogram-scale DNA production and ~25 concurrent customer projects, with ~33-40 staff at the Bizkaia Technology Park in Zamudio and 90% of clients in Europe and the US. It is headquartered in Zamudio (Bilbao, Basque Country), and was acquired in January 2026 by US-based Artis BioSolutions, so it is no longer an independent startup.
