Modalia is a Madrid-based online marketplace for footwear and fashion, selling 100% original shoes and apparel from over 1,000 brands and hundreds of physical multi-brand stores with free shipping in Spain. Launched in 2011 by Diego de Vicente as the B2C marketplace arm of retail-tech group Moddo, it doubles as an omnichannel channel that lets offline shoe retailers sell online, using the group's POS, logistics and marketplace-integration technology. It raised roughly €2M across four early rounds from Cabiedes & Partners and angels before Mediaset's media-for-equity arm Ad4Ventures took a minority stake in 2016; Moddo merged with Avelon in 2019 to form a ~€30M-valued Spanish B2B fashion tech group. Modalia.com today is a live PrestaShop retail storefront operated by IDNCC, S.L.
