201 Ventures is a Madrid-based early-stage venture capital firm (motto "freedom++") backed by the NATO Innovation Fund that invests in pre-seed and seed-stage founders advancing freedom and autonomy in Europe. It focuses on defense, intelligence, and dual-use deep tech (e.g. hypersonics, biosecurity, subsurface mapping, maritime sensing, space, Arctic autonomy), prioritizing technically ambitious founders. The firm launched its debut $22M Fund I in January 2024 and is run solo by founder Eric Slesinger, a former CIA officer.
