BCN3D Technologies
BCN3D designs and manufactures professional and industrial 3D printers, best known for its Independent Dual Extrusion (IDEX) technology, serving engineering, education and manufacturing clients such as Nissan, BMW and MIT. Originally spun out of Barcelona's Fundació CIM/UPC in 2019, the company filed for bankruptcy in May 2025 and was rescued in August 2025 via an asset acquisition by Quantum, a new holding backed by Spanish industrial investors (Sorigué, Banasegur, Teberfer, Inversions Vall) rather than traditional venture capital.
