Psious was a Barcelona-based healthtech startup that built a B2B virtual-reality platform for mental health professionals, letting psychologists deliver exposure therapy and CBT through a library of 140+ immersive environments for phobias, anxiety, PTSD and related disorders. Founded by physicists Xavier Palomer and Daniel Roig, it raised roughly $17-19M across seed and a ~€6M Series A led by Sabadell Asabys and Caixa Capital Risc. Psious no longer exists as an independent company — it rebranded to Amelia Virtual Care in February 2022 and merged into Boston-based XRHealth in April 2023.
