Smileat's first institutional round, a €1.8M capital increase led by impact fund Creas with Quadia (acting on the impact investment mandate of the Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso) and Tech Transfer Agrifood, managed by Clave Capital, plus existing minority shareholders; Didier Suberbielle, former president of Nutrition & Santé, joined the board. The company had reached break-even in 2020 with €3.2M in revenue (+14%) and used the money to consolidate its lead in Spanish organic baby food and launch new products. No stage letter was given by the sources; classified as Series A as the first VC-led institutional round after the earlier angel money (the company also drew ENISA participative loans of €75,000 in 2016, €100,000 in 2017 and €478,000 in 2023, which are not counted as rounds).
