Orain — Seed · €300K

Orain, founded in 2016 by Xavier Sans, raised over €300,000 led by Nero Ventures with participation from several Spanish business angels, to fund product development, national expansion and preparation for international markets (pilots were already running in Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria and the Middle East). Reporting at the time noted the company was negotiating a further ~€300,000 from a strategic partner; CompassList later described total 2017 seed funding of about €1M including an earlier ~€400,000 angel tranche, plus a €250,000 CDTI grant and a 2018 investment by Italian industrial partner Eurovending — none of which were announced as separate rounds.
