Emblematic, founded by Edgar Alvarez (ex-Fuell) and Prokopis Gryllos (ex-Shopify, N26), raised a $2M pre-seed (reported as roughly €1.7M) led by London-based Passion Capital to build human-in-the-loop AI agents that automate mid-market finance and accounting workflows such as document processing, transaction categorisation and anomaly detection. Caesar Ventures, Plug and Play, K Fund, Enzo Ventures, Big Sur Ventures and Ventures Together joined, along with fintech angels including Chris Adelsbach; it is the company's only disclosed round to date.
