Catalan foodtech Cubiq Foods, based in Granollers (Barcelona), raised €5.75M (about $6M) from Cargill, majority shareholder Moira Capital Partners SGEIC and Belgian impact investor NewTree Impact to scale its sustainable alternative-fat and microencapsulated omega-3 ingredients in North America and Europe. No investor was named as formal lead; Cargill's investment was the first step of a wider strategic product-development and commercial partnership, and some coverage described the deal as a bridge round.
