Orain, an unattended-retail payments and loyalty platform for vending machines, laundromats, EV chargers and kiosks, raised €6M in a round reported as 'pre-Series A' and co-led by Acurio Ventures and Leadwind (the growth fund managed by K Fund and Telefónica), with existing backers Bonsai Partners and Actyus following on. The money funds European expansion plus entry into Latin America and Asia, and a headcount increase from 40 to 70; the company has since rebranded to Frekuent.
