Affirma Biotech closed a €600K seed round to optimise preclinical broad-spectrum antiviral candidates for chronic hepatitis B and other persistent viral infections. Alfons Hidalgo (Infinitec founder), Luis Ruiz Ávila and Reig Jofre Investments are named together as leading investors, with no single lead, alongside several biotech business angels. The company said it had raised €960K in total over the previous year, including an ACCIÓ Startup Capital grant and a CDTI project co-financed by EU NextGenerationEU funds.
