Boatjump closed a €500,000 seed round led by Angels, the investment company of Mercadona president Juan Roig. Aurorial (the investment vehicle of PC Componentes), Big Ban Angels through its BSF17 vehicle, the Vitoria Metxa accelerator and business angels including Alberto Gutiérrez and Emilio Fernández-Martos also took part. The money was for technology to automate internal processes and improve search and booking, and for growing the operations, IT, marketing and sales teams. The company had come through Lanzadera. Crunchbase also lists a seed round of about $1.22M dated 2018-08-01, but no press or company announcement confirms it, so it is left out.
