Entomo Agroindustrial — Pre-seed (estimated)

Capsa Food, the owner of Central Lechera Asturiana, took a 15% stake in Entomo Agroindustrial and agreed to run joint projects using black soldier fly larvae to process its waste. The amount was not disclosed. Crunchbase lists this as a pre-seed round with Capsa Vida (Capsa's innovation arm) dated May 2023, but that looks like the same 15% stake mentioned again in Capsa Vida's April 2023 review of its investments, not a new round. In April 2018 Ship2B picked Entomo for LAB Tech4Climate and said it would consider an initial €40K investment, but no one ever confirmed that investment. The company's EU funding (Horizon 2020, FEDER, Next Generation) and CDTI funding are public grants and loans, not equity rounds.
