Freepik — Buyout

The EQT Mid Market Europe fund agreed to buy a majority stake in Freepik Company from its founders and management, who kept minority stakes. The deal closed in July 2020. The value was not disclosed, but market sources put it at €200-250M. This was a private equity buyout rather than a venture round: Freepik was bootstrapped from 2010 until this deal.
