Mimic Seafood — Pre-seed

Mimic Seafood closed a pre-seed round of undisclosed size. The investors were the Spanish agricultural co-op La Palma, which also became a strategic supplier of local ingredients, and several angel investors with FMCG experience. The money went mainly to marketing and sales in 2022. In October 2019 Origen reported a first round of €250,000 from Spanish industrial investors that was due to close 'in the coming weeks', but no close was ever reported, and in 2021 the company was described as still bootstrapped, so that round is not listed separately.
